Scot Dormier

Scot is a father of two, living in the greater Seattle area with his wife Erin. His daughter was diagnosed with Williams Syndrome at just 3 months old, presenting the medical challenge of aortic coarctation, narrowly avoiding surgery that likely would have cascaded into worsening medical challenges. Also present were renal vascular hypertension, midaortic syndrome and other vascular system narrowing related to an absent copy of the ELN/elastin gene.

As a member of the pRVH PCOR Collaborative, Scot’s firsthand experience, now spanning eight years, contributes to the mission of advancing outcomes for pediatric renal vascular hypertension (pRVH) patients. His journey navigating his daughter’s medical complexities, particularly within some medical environments with limited Williams Syndrome understanding, positions him to offer insights within the collaborative.

A multidecade career in technology and business operations, Scot’s leadership and project management experience align with the collaborative’s multidisciplinary approach. His adeptness at maintaining equilibrium amid diverse priorities, thriving and advocating within challenging contexts, and facilitating effective cross-team communication bolster the collaborative’s efforts to enhance treatments and outcomes for pRVH patients.
