Dr. Tullus is a consultant Paediatric Nephrologist at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children in London. He graduated at the Karolinska Institute, Stockholm and got his medical training in Stockholm, Sweden where he also made his PhD. He worked as a Paediatrician and Paediatric Nephrologist in Sweden, close to thirty years and in London since 2002.
His main clinical interests are renovascular hypertension, inflammatory kidney diseases like lupus and renal vasculitis, and UTI. He has tutored 5 PhD students and written more than 250 scientific papers and reviews.
He has built a large service for children with renovascular hypertension at GOSH. A collaborative group of paediatric nephrologists, interventional radiologists and vascular surgeons have during the last two decades treated 150 children with renovascular hypertension. They meet every second Monday afternoon to discuss cases. Typically some five to ten children every meeting. Clinicians are very welcome to send cases for discussion.
